Super Bowl Luncheon
Photo BoothThe Culinary Department teamed up with the branch of the National Honors Society at Lyman Hall for their We Are One campaign to promote school unity. They put together a photo booth for the student to use at lunch and had students taking photography classes take the pictures. There were funny props and smiling faces galore. Culinary also provide tasty treats such as the chocolate covered pretzels seen below and bracelets in schools colors.

Food Drive for Hurricane Michael
The culinary program's FCCLA class recently held a food drive for victims of Hurricane Michael in partnership with The Perfect Promotion, Woodland Movers, Big Y World Class Markets, and iHeart Radio. This benefit packed an 18-wheeler for The Salvation Army and Dothan Animal Services, as it benefitted both the people and the pets affected by the hurricane.
French Bistro in honor of Mr. MackeyOctober 26 was the date on which Lyman Hall celebrated its French Teacher with a bistro in his honor. It was a heartfelt event, and the attendees include the entire world language department and Mr. Mackey's family. The placemats that were used were decorated by the numerous students that wish him well him, and the messages that were written were sweet and sincere. Everyone who came enjoyed exquisite food and wholehearted celebration of their coworker and friend.

Brunch for BrangiOn October 19, 2018 the staff of Lyman Hall High School came together to celebrate a fellow co-worker. So, the Culinary Department helped organize a brunch in her honor. It was a lively event full of laughter, color, and good food. The event was a great success and everyone wishes her well.

Moses Y. Beach Teacher of the Year
On September 28, 2018 the teachers and assorted staff at Moses Y. Beach celebrated their co-worker Jessica Harris. She is one of the quarter-finalists for the State Teacher of the Year Award. Their celebration of Ms. Harris's achievement as a teacher included a wonderful luncheon and snack provided by LH Culinary.

Hospitality Cooling Stations
On Tuesday, August 28, 2018 the temperature was a whopping 93 degrees with a stifling 50% humidity. Lyman Hall Culinary was asked to help aid in keeping everyone in the building cool. They came through, and set up refreshment stations throughout the school to keep the staff and students hydrated. Students and teachers alike could come over and drink refreshing lemonade or eat a fresh fruit salad.
